Usually found running around on the ground, I was lucky to get one of them on a perch. However, I feel the frame is very tight.
Made with Canon 450D + Sigma 150 - 500 on a beanbag placed on the car window.
    Exif : F6.3, ISO 200, SS 1/500 @ 403mm. Manual / Eval
Levels / about 10% crop / USM / NR on BG.

    Comments & critiques most welcome.

The bird is exposed very well and plenty sharp, so is the front part of the perch. The back part of the perch suffered from the NR, the bg is awesome. Excellent feather detail.

You captured a really nice pose and the light is beautiful. I love that long claw showing. I think it's a little tight in the frame and, if it were mine, I might do something about the dead end of the branch.

Beautiful sharp bird. I really like the light on him and b/g is beautiful. As Jeol said, I would work on that dead branch end.

Not too tight in the frame for me, and absolutely lovely, smooth gradation of tones in the BG. The blue to green to tan fits the bird and perch perfectly. Well done!

Just a touch tight for me but not a deal breaker. The branches provide a nice frame for the bird and I also like the colors of the BG.

LOVE the background. It might be just a tad tight on top for me, but not enough to bother with. I might clone the foreground branch closer to where the foliage is. Nice feather detail and that claw is something else!

Beautiful pose and perch (except for that broken-off end). Awesome BG and very appealing pale colours throughout. I agree it is a bit tight in the frame, looks like you did not have enough time to zoom even wider than you did.

It just makes it in the frame for me but a little up top would be better IMO. Great detail and a nice pose and perch
