    I set this image up to capture adult Tree Swallows flying in to their nest box. This is a first try. Image created today at Sackville Waterfowl Park, New Brunswick. I prefocussed on a bird poking its head out the nest box hole, then waited for a bird to return using the same focus point. This is prone to some error and the focus wasn't perfect, just OK. This is my first attempt with the 1.4x tc so I am on another learning curve here.

    You're getting close John! More DOF would help the cause; consider ISO 800 and stopping down. I'd be careful with +0.3 with all that white on the bird. Thanks for posting.

    These guys respond to the Bird-Jam. you play their song they will hover over you! theres nothing like getting a speeding bullet in flight. great catch.

    Agree with Dough on the chosen comp Will the withes to the ragged edge !!!! Would try same set up with softer light !!!!
