Gorgeous bird Karl! Exposure looks good, like the perch and BG. The HA is a little non-traditional but I really like it as presented.

Nice Karl. I have four at my house but haven't gotten a good shot yet. They just won't perch where I tell them to. The breast area looks soft and too red, they are more pink.

I really like the pose and head angle.
Good composition and I like the clean two toned BG.
I do not mean to offend but I see some cloning marks near the bottom of the branch near the LHS.
    Easy fix,
    Gail

Cute pose, excellent detail and lovely BG!

Blacks in the head could be a bit richer ... seem a bit too light?

Hi Karl, saw this one on NS yesterday and I must say that its a killer shot. Exposure, details, colors and a great inquisitive pose make for one of your best in a while. I really like this one!! Wish it were mine.

Gorgeous bird. I like the background control/colors/transitions too.
I see the previously mentioned PS work...smudging off the bottom of the perch in the lower left side
is very noticeable. Perch is the weak spot of the image imo, but only if you had the option of selecting
a different perch, if not, then subject trumps perch here. I am not familiar with where or what Rondeau is?

Thanks Shawn. I removed a little branch on the LBS with the Spot healing brush tool and I totally forgot about smootening it out with the clone tool.
Rondeau is a small town and a Provincial Park right beside, situated on the North shore of Lake Erie. It is a good birding destination during Spring migration.
I fully agree with you, I don't like the perch either but it was not my choice. I wouldh have liked a thiner branch with nice spring leaves on it.
    Maybe an other time.
Here is the repost. I darkened the head a little as Mike suggested and removed the smudge.
    Thank you all.

Nice shot Karl. Colors are bright but not overdone and the pose engages the viewer.
