This is a local eagle for me—taken at Seabeck, Wa. today. These eagles are feeding on sculpin that get trapped in the oyster beds at low tide.

Thanks for describing what this individual is huntung for, this shows how opportunistic they are! Nice pose, habitat, details. I'd likely remove the one bright OOF element touching the far leg and I wouldn't mind a bit more canvas top and left but it still looks good as is.

Bonnie, love the dynamic pose with wings spread and talons extended. Good exposure, BG, and habitat. I'm with Daniel for wanting more canvas on top, but the comp is really fine as is. Well done. Loi

    Well done Bonnie!
Great talon reach and nice wing position and IQ.
I like all the green at the bottom of the frame.
I would clone out the bright white thing in front of the leg as my eye is drawn there ( if your ethics allow it).
I would like a bit more canvas on the LHS but is fine as is.

Excellent action shot, Bonnie. I like the pose with the legs fully stretched and ready to grab the food item.

I think you flat out nailed the image. Great composition as is imo.
I enjoy the setting too...has a northwest coastal "feel" to it.
    Excellent exposure work.

Great exposure and dof on what could have been a too busy bg if you were closed down any more. Great landing pose too and repost looks good

Thanks, Cheryl. I am still experimenting with what I can and cannot do with the lens/camera combo. I am going to open it up next time and see how the IQ is then.
