    Hi There

Well Saturday is upon us once more...so with Firmware 1.2.3 loaded in my MKIII it was off to HCT for my weekly battle with Birds & equipment....Weather was pretty bright for most of the day so I wasn't able to try it out in really dark conditions...but from my 1st impressions it is a worthwhile upgrade..as the focus did seem a bit more sure footed.

I was able to shoot a sequence of 21 shots of "Cheyenne" The Bald Eagle flying in and flaring to land on the Falconers glove and every one of them was sharp on the eye...something i have not acheived with any camera before

Then it was off to try my luck against the wild Kestrel that nests at the side of the meadow. This was a harder test, but i did still manage to get some sharp shots at every pass that the bird made...

So all in all I am pleased with the response of the camera..... if it stays like this it may be almost as good as a D3....:p

Very occasionally you get lucky when everything comes together and you nail one..... This is a shot of a Carrion Crow taking some food from what the Kestrel regards as his private larder....and he is not happy about it.

Posted in Hand of man because the food was put out for them to feed on, but they are Wild Birds.

I did not realize that Kestrels had that many different colors on them. Great capture.

Glad to hear that the new firmware put the finishing touch on the MkIII. You certainly did a good job with this one.....great to get them both in the image. It certainly tells a story.
