I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to shoot this nest of Pileated Woodpeckers. We found the nest when they were very young and it was so much fun watching them grow up.

Great nest shot, Cheryl. I'm glad you resisted the temptation to crop in tighter; I like the additional textures and context. Love the three poses. I might be tempted to reduce the brightness of the lower part of the tree.

IQ is very good, I love the moss on the left. The youngsters look great.

Lovely shot, Cheryl. I'm with Bill on the brightness of the lower part of the tree. It is still a little bit bright, but overall a lovely image. Well done. Loi

    Cheryl:

A cute combo, two little girls and one boy, I bet he catches it from them!

I like the trunk and moss, but if the IQ will tolerate, could see a tighter version as well.

One of my all time favorite photo experiences was watching a pileated family in my back yard. I would check them every day when I got home from work, late afternoon sun was perfect for them.

The repost does address the trunk brightness.

    Cheers

Love the grouping and 3 good head angles ... perfect timing on this one!

Some good feedback above. Might also try toning down the white area in the upper left as well.

you get 10 out of 10 on the cuteness factor!
    Great head positions.
I like the comp but wouldn't mind a little bit tighter.
