I did not take the Wimberley, Wimberley arm, external battery pack, flash unit with me in order to be lighter.
    I used a RRS BH-55 head instead.
Big mistake, I missed the flash and gimbal big time.
This image would have needed fill flash for sure.
You can look at the original one below.
I tried to rewive it in PP.
I wish for a better HA.
    Thanks for looking.

Hi Karl, a huge difference between the two images, and good work on removing the OOF branch. I like the ragged tail. I notice in your OP, a lot of yellow has turned up in your image, especially on the belly of the woodpecker, ( and perch ) - you will know if it should be so.

I really like the angle here, and you did a great job of removing the OOF twig. I agree with Stu, a bit too much yellow, but it can easily be removed with Photoshop. Love the detail and the subject's pose!

    Kind regards

Nice job reviving but I think could still use a little tweaking. The yellow was mentioned and also The branch has just a little too much contrast to me now.

Good PP work to salvage this. I'm personally not too fond of the capture angle. I've often gone out without the flash, and then often regretted it.

Nice job on the salvage. The others have some good points about the yellow color. Pretty steep angle but still works for me. Good work Karl

    Great shot.
Nice pose, IQ is great, and good job on removing the branch.
To me personally I think the angle is a bit steep and yellow cast already mentioned.
    Well done.
