    Man I got really lucky last night with these Owls! I had one, and only one chance to get this behavior! I don't like the viewing angle but? This is cropped to about 13mpx. This is also my first XL sized post! Nice!

    Flash: Optional,TTL, -1/3 stop, better beamer
    Metering mode: Multi-segment

    Nice shot, Dan! I agree the angle could definitely be better, but when it's a special experience like this any photo is better than no photo.

    I have yet to photograph screech owls so I can feel your excitement! Maybe not the best angle but I'm sure a thrill to see and photograph. Congratulations

    This is pretty amazing behavior you captured here, Dan. You could have posted this in avian since hand of man is allowed there, and I think most would have loved to see this behavior!
