Hi Viv, you are really nailing these little jewels at that location, and once again, a killer BG. If Im not mistaken, this is a sub adult, as the beak is not fully red - transition from black ( juvie ) to red ( adult )

    Vivaldo,

Another great one from your series. What are you doing to get so close? Blind?

You've nailed pretty much everything about this one. And of course, I'm looking forward to more from the series!

Thanks Miguel, I shot this series from a hide. This one is the last of this series unfortunately, hopefully will get more on my next visit there.

Lovely pose and gorgeous colors. Did you add the catchlight? How much of a crop please?

Thanks Marina. I added the catchlight, used the dodge tool in PS. The crop is about 60 percent of the original.

The reason I asked about the crop is b/c I am not seeing the details in the feathers that I would expect from a sharp image so thought it might be a large crop.

Thanks everyone It's definitely a big crop Marina, maybe slightly more then 60 percent as this bird is so small.

Lovely pose and beautiful colors and BG. The catch light is a real bonus, looks very real to me! Well done.
