    Hello Seal Man, :))

as usual your seal looks great to me. A tiny thing gets into my eye, under the seals eye the sand looks a bit awkward to me. I would turn down the highlights on the san. As well would turn down the blue and cyan in the seals body only. But this is just me Andreas ( I think the blue is a left over when I started here in the forum. I always had blue in the images, were it shouldn't have been! )
The whiskers are great. Might as well lighten up a bit the dark line above the seals nose in the BG!
    Light is beautiful. Well done.

    Have a great evening

    Ciao
    Anette

Hi Andreas - Always nice to see a seal. I had the same initial impression as Anette (before reading her comment) that the sand on the face and also the whiskers on the closest side of the face look as if there may have been some movement. The whiskers from the far side of the face, seen under the chin look sharper to me. I like the comp and the colors look good to me. I see a very slight halo around the tip of the nose.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Great image, lovely light and colours, agree on perhaps just dropping some of the cyans on the body, and i too see a slight halo around the tip of the nose. Although the detail looks ok to me, i wonder if it could do with another round of sharpening, maybe, maybe not?

Some good points made already. Good to see you posting again, Andreas!
I like the light, angle and pose. I'm okay with facial sharpness as the wet fur would be very smooth in this case?

Hi Andreas, a little full in the frame for me, but just personal taste. I like the warmth of the image, but in an ideal world less clutter in the BKG to help separate the subject, but that is UK beaches for you. Perhaps a little less DOF and a higher SS may have been better as everything is on the same plane? I like the way you feel as if you are in the water with the seal.

Interesting capture, there is enough feedback there to take it in the direction I would....
