Default Barred Owl Perch, Round 2

    Hi everyone,

Ashleigh did some editing this weekend to this image based on your feedback:

In PS, used the magnetic lasso tool to isolate the owl, adjust levels to brighten, and inverse the selection to tone down the background, then later same done to the branch. Also, she cloned out a few bright spots in the background, and finished with mild sharpening of the owl's face. The background still may be a bit too bright, but she likes the green tone as it is for now.

She's much happier with this version - thank you all for the comments!

Yes, I think the Repost (RP) looks good. Ashley, next time for RP, it is useful to re-post in the same thread as the original so that folks can compare the different versions.

Here is the link to the original.

    Good work.

    Ashleigh,

Both are great, but the repost is killer. Not much more you can ask for!

    Hi Ashley,

Sweet photo! I like how he has spread his wings for you, sharp and well processed! you have mastered the processing too :)

One thing that I can imagine is if Mr. owl has enough patience for you to step a bit to the right so the veggies would not intersect with his head. he might even stare at your lens!

    Excellent job a solid A+!
