    Default Snow Goose

Hello everyone. This year I was able to photograph 2 brave snow geese that were in our area.
While photographing a ruddy duck one of them started flapping I had a tc was to close and there was no way in backing up.
So I wanted to know how you all feel about this shot.
Wings were already clipped so I kinda tighten the the comp just a tad.
    C&C welcomed and encouraged.

Love the pose, the water droplets and the head shadow on the wing.
Perhaps some noise reduction on the background might be worth looking at.

I like the first post Robert. Nice detail and the whites look good and the water drops are cool.

You exposed the whites perfectly. You must have been quick to change the settings if you were photographing a darker duck and moved to a white subject. Well done!
I would crop in tighter from the bottom and consider some rotation to level the shoreline or clone in some brown to level it. I think it is an optical illusion but I keep going back to it.
Good cloning out of the OOF duck. I couldn't tell and I have eagle eyes!!
    Nice portrait,
    Gail

Hi Robert, I actually like your original comp, with maybe coming in a touch from the right to eliminate the brown feathers. I would leave the bottom as you would then lose some of the droplets. Overall well exposed, and good work on taking a quick shot.

    Robert,

I like the duo-tone blue and light brown background. Looks like you may be able to squeeze a little bit more detail out of the whites though.

I'm a fan of the original composition (second post) - but that may be because I don't do a lot of square-ish crops. So Stuart's suggestions I think are great.

Nice quick reaction. I like the OP, and the way you controlled the whites in what must have been a quick grab shot. I'd keep the droplets, which add to the image.
