    Painted Buntings were in plentiful supply at the park, out of Junction TX, and pretty cooperative.

    40D, 500/4L IS + 1.4X TC II, 550EX + BB @ -1 1/3, ISO 800, 1/250 @ f/8

    Your flash exposure compensation was excellent. I like the plumage detail on the back of the bird. Unfortunately, that's where your critical focus is in this image. The head and in particular the eye are out of focus. I would also burn the bright area in the LLC.

    Beautiful bird...sure wish they were plentiful in my area. I believe since there is visable birdseed all around the bird, that his would be more correctly posted into the "Hand Of Man" forum.
