I actually toned down the color in this photo.
Taken today, May in the Pacific Northwest US is almost fluorescent.

Good morning Dan, lovely image and great details of this coyote. I might would give this coyote itself a little punch of saturation and a Mid lumo adjustment with contrast. Just on his back is a bit highlight not to much. Might would burn that down a bit. Wish you would have a bit more space on the RHS. Maybe you have it. That all is just IMHO

The green color looks for fine.

    Have a great wknd

    Ciao

Hi Dan, nice capture and personally I really like it when the subject looks at you down the barrel of the lens, it really helps connect with the viewer.

Personally I'm happy with the space although a fraction more at the foot would be nice IMHO. Not sure if there is any info in the RAW, but the whites on the cheeks of the jaw and the highlights on the back just by the shoulder look hot/ blown. Might checkout the original just in case. Lovely detail in the wet fur, can be tricky but you nailed that. Adding a Mid tone and tweaking the whites just pumps up all the coat and information you captured, really gives substance to the subject, but I do feel the grass is a bit too vibrant/saturated, however you were there so will know the conditions. Might just remove the white floor by the right ear. Is this the same one you have mage to capture over time?

Hi Dan - great look right at you. I'm fine with the room to the sides but would prefer a bit more room below. Steve and Anette have covered adjustments to the coyote well. I understand what you are saying about the vibrant spring colors and I also know that you tend to like more saturation than I do in general (just different preferences) but I wanted to show you an alternative. In a hue/saturation adjustment layer I dropped the lightness only of the greens and yellows by -20 with the dropper. But as Steve said, you were there.

    Hi Dan,
like the overall look of the image with the really nice greens , following your words.
Like the tonality in the subject, even if some of the highlights look recovered , maybe you can fix this ?

Maybe a slight mid tone move can improve the density a tad .

Wish I could get a shot like this! Wonderful!

Rachel's repost makes the coyote jump out a little more.

Wonderful full look from this coyote & nice detail! Tough to get such an image of a coyote here in the Rocky Mt. West. Our coyotes are used to being used for target practice and don't stick around. I have seen brilliant greens such as you have posted, but I prefer the look of Rachel's post as it seems to emphasize the coyote more.

No problems with the colors, vibrant and natural looking to me. I like the pose, the eye contact, and look of the wet fur.

Nice pose here Dan. I like the OP greens, no issue for me. I agree on wanting a sliver more space below, but I know how often I don't include that in the field as it looks fine "in the moment" through the viewfinder.

I agree with Steve on some of the whites? Maybe borderline? (didn't pull into PS to check)
