From Ottawa NWR last week. These little guys have always eluded me in the past. I hear them in the reeds, but only see glimpses of them at a distance. In this case, this fellow flew back and forth right in front of me for some time. Even so, it took 100 frames to come up with just one where there was not an OOF reed blurring part of the bird. I'll settle for just one -- it would have been a bummer to come hope and find that they were all blurry. after the show he put on. C&C appreciated.

I have been hoping for a flawless shot for of this elusive wren for quite some time.
Yours is amazing. You have the best possible pose, great soft light and great colours and patterns.
I'm truly impressed, Bill. Looking forward to my turn some time.
This is really pretty Bill. The bg is so nice with the pastel tones and it goes so well with the bird. Great detail too. In this case I can understand not getting a lower angle. Congrats on the one that made it thru!!
Hi Bill, excellent IQ, and just love the light in this, together with the subtle use of flash. I like the detail and colours on this fellow, and the vertical OOF lines of the reeds in the BG work well.
