    John,

    Oh yea,. really like this one. The field techniques are solid especially using a tripod and the ISO setting (nice kit too). The opportunity is the crop or subject placement - things are dead center and the rule of thirds composition might make the picture stronger. The background and perch are really good. Did you desaturate the reds, the color looks good. I am not saying the crop is wrong and I like the intense focus on the subject's face and eye - lets see what others say - this is a nice picture. Well done, thanks for posting and keep em coming.

    One more thing: this is just a suggestion,..consider reducing the catch light in the eye a bit?

    Nice and sharp, good perch and sweet BG. Do you know why there are 2 catch light spots?
