Shot this the same morning as the previous post. Might be a stilt heavy summer for me as everything here is very flooded and I'm having a hard time finding anything else to shoot. Good thing I love spending the morning with them! Almost FF. Added some canvas on the right and and bottom and cropped in from the left and top a little. All C&C appreciated.

Magnificent flight shot. Though flying away from you, nice HA. I like the down wing position, nice colors and details.
Love the way stilt pops up against beautiful BG,flight pose and lights. If mine would crop on the top quite a bit.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Really nice Lyle. I agree with Satish that some off the crop could be another way of cropping the image. I really like the richly coloured BG. I think the subject could use a bit of sharpening, not much though.

    Lyle:

The slight angle away does show both wings better, and the head angled back towards us helps.

I do agree about the option of cropping a bit from the top. Because the angle of flight is about level, the need for lots of room above for him to climb into is reduced.

    Cheers

Another nice flight shot Lyle, nice exposure on the bird. BG is quite noisy.

Great exposure on this little, with the eye showing colours. Well done Lyle.

I do see some noise in the background.

Agree on the crop. I messed with it a lot trying to find a pleasing way to keep the tan color without it being a little too loose. Guess I'll have to sacrifice it. Not sure how I managed to post this without the NR applied--definitely a pro move on my part

I agree with a crop form above, you do not need that tan band up there anyhow (IMO). You did well to add below and right though! Sounds like a good spot for you...take advantage of it! :-)
