    Hi Rudi
TBH I think the choice of image to convert is probably letting you down.... The image is just not strong enough compositionally or interest wise for the viewer...the intersection of the horns by a the sitting Wildebeest is distracting... and by moving you position a meter or so could have been avoided...the image needs a slight rotation...
The conversion technique.. needs a little work... as much as I love having deep blacks in an image I find the BKG overpowering..and draws the eye from subject..the burning of the sky does not work as it feels off balance due to the LHS tree which is a deep black...

Great to see you posting black and white.... U just need to be more selective of the images you choose to convert...ie composition and interest , and just as important will it work as a black and white image...

    Hi Rudi,

you got all already from peter what is important. Great to know for me too
Instead of burning the sky, try gradient, that works smoother and for sure it is easier, well for me

    Have a great evening

    Ciao

Thanks for the feedback guys! I did not burn the sky or trees, but only applied a slight vignette. See what you mean about the wildebeest in the back Peter, as well as the overpowering blacks of the trees and thanks for the positive critique!
