    This is wierd, I used a friend's camera with my flash card. Not as sharp as I would like, but it was close up and personal.
    specs:
    40D on tripod
    Sigma 180mm macro with doubler
    1/50 sec, f/9
    Mode: Av
    Metering: Multi-segment
    Exp comp: -1
    ISO: 400

    I love the almost mono effect with the brown tone providing a focal point. Under the circumstances, I think you did well. Greater depth of field would have been preferable (as you noted) but given the macro lens with doubler and the already slow shutter speed, greater depth of field would have been difficult – and dangerous. An intriguing shot.

    Steve, not bad at all. Difficulties with DOF are real world probs so am not going to suggest a better ss and dof..LOL Did well. Dave

    I like how just the point behind the eyes is sharp in relation to the rest of the subject. I also like the color tone. Self critique about sharpness noted.
