Hi Leo, the guys in Avian are more skilled to give you advice on the overall image, however just having a quick look and...

    - Look at selectively reducing the hotspot on the side of the chest
    - I would try and drop the overall yellow say -20 (personal pref)
    - Add some black in the yellow channel
    - An overall mid tone luminosity mask
    - Then open up the eye & beak as there is detail there and will give more form to the subject

Lovely image, bird. Love the leg up and the low angle. Yellows are hot.

Cute subject, great low angle, nice light. I like all the tiny pebbles sticking to the raised foot. I agree in toning down the hot area on the body, and I would clean up the bill (if you are OK with that type of image editing)

Nice low angle shot. I might be wrong, but there is a spot on the belly that looks overexposed on my monitor.

    Very nice shot.
I really like the golden light, excellent low angle, love the walking pose, and great comp.
Agree on the hot spot on the chest.
    Well done.

Hi Leo, light looks good, and you have brought good detail on the head and body, ( but do agree about the hotspot on the side of the chest ) Love the BG, and the sand covered raised foot, puts this up a few notches.

    Leo,

One more vote for reducing the hotspot, although I like that it's brighter and gives you nice sense of depth.

Cleaning up the bill would be great, as Daniel suggested. If the light was that warm, I like the yellow-ish cast. Otherwise, Steve made some great suggestions.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. Much appreciated as always.
I have reconverted the image with a slight reduction in exposure and then reprocessed it incorporating some of the suggestions.
