A very cooperative feall that posed and perched on a few nice perches for me. Lots new growth and nicely spaced out sumacs and other dried branches such as this. I placed the speaker in the middle of them all and thought wherever it perches then so be it, they all look nice! Original vertical cropped to about 85% FF.

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1000s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, darkened pupil, lightened iris, lifted the shadows on the undertail coverts(dodge tool), NR to the background only.

Lovely pose captured here, the perch works nicely here whites with good details in them.
    The nice BG looks good
I suppose a higher F value may have helped to get the tail too in focus , however i am not sure how fast the bird was moving and that may have prompted a preference for a higher SS.
85% crop means you reached nice and close to this small bird, nice one

What a wonderful details you have got in whites and blacks, Daniel Sir.
Love the pose with beautiful HA, nice diagonal perch with thorns, smooth backdrop and above all the way warble pops up against dark BG.
    Very nice composition too.

    Regards,
    Satish.

I have always found that this Warbler species is even harder to shoot than the others. It muves like a Nuthatch and likes dark spaces. It is great to have one perching.
Excellent details, sharpness and pose, Daniel.

I never know how these guys land on these prickly branches and not get speared... Anyway, great pose, comp, and detail. Really pops off that BG.

Well done Daniel. I've given up shooting these little guys, they are so small and fast... never staying in one spot.

Hi Dan, cant beat that exposure on both the whites and blacks, and pretty cool pose too. That lens is delivering great BG's for you.
