    I took this shot at a local Raptor shoot.When the bird struck this vampirish pose, I knew I had to take the shot and have some fun with it later in post processing. I darkened and desaturated the green grass bg with viveza and then used a couple of runs of fractilius follwed by some judicial masking.

    Good title & great pose! Your use of fractalius on the feathers is just perfect. I especially like the 6 whitish lines of the feathers on the left side. It adds a very striking & dynamic effect. The dark bkgd is a good foil for the bare red head & creates the sinister mood. Really, really great!

    Love this Bob! Really nice processing and a super base image to work with. I really like the dark look with the one bit of color, very well done.

    I really like this photo. Making the bg black was a great idea. My eye is drawn directly to the head. The way the wings seem to envelop the head like a cape is excellent.
