    Default David vs. Golliah

This little bird mounted an impressive attack on the male Bald Eagle and successfully drove the Eagle away. Unfortunately, this is a large crop, about 3.5 M pixels, so the IQ suffers a bit.

Hope you like it despite the large crop.

I always love these type images, The little guy is not taking any crap and fighting for his territorial rights! The open beaks or them squawking is great!

The action is definitely there, to bad you could not crop it closer, but we take what we can get, you did a great job considering you were in a boat. ;)

I just love these behavioural shots! The eagle could have swallowed the small bird whole! The small bird could have been clever and dropped a bomb right on target :D

    What happened next?

    Loi,

Love the shot, yes there is opportunity here for a closer crop but this a great day with nature and lets just leave it as posted. Thanks for sharing - thanks to you, I am there.

Hello Loi, great action captured here! I think your David is a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, one with a lot of attitude and fortitude. Like Shane said, this eagle could make a snack out of that little fellow but probably just wants to be left alone. Good job getting the shot.

Hi Kerry, thank you for teaching me who the little guy is. He was able to chase the eagle away!
