A wondeful little bird, the "yellow" race that is at its extreme edge of its breeding range here locally. Here it is perched among a vast field of wild blueberries, on a young tamarack twig.
Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 + 1.4 TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1600s., f/6.3, ISO 400, handheld, a distracting twig cloned out at lower left edge, a few brighter leaves toned down via burn tool.
Nice colors and composition. Overall the image seems a bit harsh or edgy? I had to look up Ottawa because it's totally unfair that your spring is that far along when I'm waking up to snow and icicles! Canada is North!
One of my favorite Warblers (I have many). You can always find them in Florida during winter mostly on the ground.
Having one in full breeding plumage is always a treat. Great work, Daniel.
The bird os clearly delineated heat to tail, the background colours compliment the plumage. I like the pose and the twig he is perched on has interesting buds. Altogether a very pleasing image.
