    Default Happy Mother's Day

This is a story that might have been better told via video, so will have to rely partially on my words. The adult pair of blue birds had successfull fledged four young. The male was thinking about a second batch and was in the mood to mate again. This youngster landed on the perch and the male immediately pecked at him and tried to knock him off the perch. As the youngster was trying to regain his balance, Mom flew in, grabbed a worm, and fed him. Quite a sweet moment to witness.

Hi Grace, these arent easy to capture on the spur of the moment, so well timed to have captured the moment. Good eye contact from both, and Ive always enjoyed the colours of these Bluebirds. I do like how the perch runs diagonally through the frame.

Wonderful image! Not a common bird where I live so this is a treat.

Oooh... you have been hiding this one from us!
We (BPN'ers) are rocking the Mothers Day posts.
Love the interaction captured and the IQ and the BG. Love the diagonal line of the perch.
    No nits from me.
The story is great and can be applied to humans ie. exhausted new mom but dad feeling left out of the whole new baby/nursing process and mom too tired to think about se*.

I usually get motion blur on one of the heads or will not be able to see both bird's eyes in a feeding shot like this. This is great with the action and positions and IQ.
