Juvenile black phoebe begging for a nice juicy bug. There was a second young one on the same twig to the right but an unfortunate shadow was crossing it's face so I cropped it out. Wasn't sure on the crop so any feedback there would be helpful for sure. Thanks in advance.

Nice sharp image. I would crop a little off the left. Also, for some reason that little string(?) under its feet is distracting. Beautiful shot though.

Crop looks fine to me Leroy. I like the rise from the right to the left as the pose of the bird leads that way as well. I would personally exchange a little more space on top for a little less on the bottom but not a whole lot.

Leroy; Love it the way it is...Congrats, you have a very nice image, sharp details and nice mellow background. Like the composition and the perch is fine...:D

    Leroy,

Image works well. Composition I like but recommend more of a crop from the bottom. Top and sides OK with me. The mouth open is a nice touch and I like the diagonal slope of the perch. BG is great.

A bit of fill-flash would have been nice here to mellow out the shadows though exposure looks AOK.

You captured a nice moment here Leroy. I think it would benefit from additional sharpening. I might consider toning down the perch as it appears to be illuminated with harsh light.
