    Good detail and DOF. This looks a little washed out on my screen so perhaps pulling down the shadows would help. The lighter band in the upper part of the frame really pulls my eye. I think I'd darken that to match the tone of the rest of the background.

    Great detail in the eye and surrounding face. I like the simple comp and color tones. THe band at the top mentioned by Leroy stands out mor eto me for the loss of the nice mottling evident in the rest of the BG rather than color difference but doesn't really bother me to much.

    I like the positioning in the frame and the leaning forward as it looks like he is doing something or going someplace. The top could be cloned in with some of the BG below it to even it all out if you wish. Fill flash worked well here to lower contrast w/o looking evident.

    I like it. Nice detail and color. I like that the bird is looking and seemingly moving forward.
