I took this image early in the morning.
Originally the bird was on the ground but flew up on a branch for a very short time, before it dissappeared.
    Thanks for looking.

    Karl:

Perky pose, feet show well, nice angle in frame, well scaled perch, fanciful bg.

I could see a small crop from the top, and in from the right to the joint of the upper branch.

    Cheers

What a fine BG! Bird is fine also. I see two odd green casts under the tail and by the bird's right leg.

    Thanks Jack. Good point.
The belly had a green cast from the vegetation that I removed using color replacement tool.
The one you see are the remaining missed small areas.

    Hi Karl,

Wow, what a nice image of the Swainson's thrush. The pose, soft light, details, and that lovely supportive BG. Excellent.

This is my favorite summer bird, along with the hermit thrush - they usually show up here the first week of June, singing sweetly all night long in the mid-summer twilight. Tranquility.

    Thanks Randy.

I did the crop you suggested, maybe a little less on the right because of the signiture.
I also applied a surface blur to the background.
Jack noticed some green spots, a leftover from the getting rid of the green cast on the belly. I removed those.
Now I started liking this image more.

Loving the variety you are showing us Karl, this one is nicely done as well, the background is extra nice and nicely proportioned perch

    Karl,

I like the subtle repost of the original. The "splotchy" bg is great! I still see some green below the tail, not sure what it is but it doesn't look like a cast. Part of the bird, maybe?

Beautiful image of a beautiful little bird, whose colors match the BG! The new crop is perfect, to my taste.
