Nice and clear image Dan, looks so nice to the eye
Love the plain BG and a prey in the beak puts it over the top
The bird would be so delicate as it perches on the cattail ( i suppose its a cattail , as i am not much good with plants)
    I love the image

Love it, Dan. This is a jumpy, energetic little bird. Nice job catching it especially with a nice meal, Lovely BG, weathered perch, details and color pallette. Nice !

    Dan:

Nice catch by the bird and you, I like the sharpness, exposure, prey. The pose is unusual, the only downside being the merge of the tail with the top of the cat tail.

Interesting green cast reflecting up onto the belly.

I would be tempted to trim off 20% of the free space at the top, personal taste really.

    Cheers''

    This is lovely.
Terrific opportunity well seized with the prey in the mouth. The eye is so clear and sharp.
IQ is terrific and I like the one toe peeking around the cattail.
How I wish the top of the cattail was not so close to the bird's tail.
The green cast on the belly is likely as it was IRL but I might still tone it down a bit.
Well done and I wish I had this in my files,
    Gail

Nice image, the prey in the beak is a great plus. They haven't made this far yet.

I love your wren images Dan. This one has a fine pose, sharp as a tack, the insects (looks like three) are going to be a fine meal for some young! The BG could not be better.

Terrific IQ, and I like the vertical comp. Prey item(s) a nice addition. I do wish the subject had perched on this side of the cattail, but the image is still quite appealing as is.

Looking at the size of that meal I'd say this one has a nest of chicks somewhere.

Very nice, sharp, great light wonderful eye and liking the subtle colors, agree with others regarding the tail and cattail position and slight green cast/color on chest and preys wings

Hi Dan, exquisite light and IQ, and his catch a bonus. Im fine with the placement and comp, but have to agree, wishing the tail wasnt so close to the top of the cattail. Still a fine image.
