Taken at the Alligator Farm two weeks ago. Sorry I couldn't join you all for the gathering there this week-end. These three should be pretty big by now.Canon 40D, 1/1250, f/7.1, 100-400 zoom at 220. I'm wondering about the vegetation on the left and elsewhere - too distracting?

Compositionally the vegetation is fine with me here. The colouring on it is kinda dull though...wish it was "greener". The egrets are exposed properly, and I like all their respective positions. Also wish for more room above. Did you tweak the eyes of the young ones?

Love the composition. What a great scene to capture. Agree that a little more space on top would be a plus. Would not be hard to add.

I like the way the beak are all more or less pointing to a central point. I agree it could use a wee bit of color "pop". I also think the vegetation looks fine as it sort of provides pillars on the edges.

I like the vegetation - frames them well. The egrets look great in the soft light and yes they are much bigger now (I am here today and this weekend). More room at top would be OK.

The whites are fantastic and they make this image what it is, top shelf.

Thanks for all comments and suggestions. I did use selective sharpening on the eyes.
