From my trip to Ohio. This one is from Hoover Preserve. No setting perch only natural environment. Camera: Canon 1 D Mark IV, Time : 1/1600s , F-stop : f/8.0, ISO : 800, Lens : 600 mm II. Peter Tamas
Is this a large crop? The bird seems to be lacking feather detail. Nice light and perch position through the frame. The leaf seems to be a bit of a distraction, but it's a natural perch and I do get tired sometimes of the setup shots, or at least shots that appear to be setup on a pristine perch. So this is a nice change. Lovely head angle too.
Nice diagonal perch with a new shoot of green which makes it more interesting. Nice clean background. The exposure looks good, IQ is excellent. Great work, Peter.
Magnificent image of beautiful looking bird. Love the back pose and head turn, nice colors, perch and BG.
Would crop on right and left side to give 2x3 format.
Nice composition especially with the diagonal branch and fresh shoots just above the bird, liking the eye contact with the camera and even dof on the bird, extra kudos for being a wild encounter and not set up. Light and sharpness looks good, but maybe something has gone a little funny in processing this one as the detail looks a little coarse...maybe over sharpened somewhat
