    Another wonderful shot Jonathan.
    Beautiful BG colors, perfect perch and IQ rocks. Pose and HA are textbook perfect.

    Beautiful.
    I think it would look nice with a looser crop, but the light and muted colors are terrific.

    Absolutely superb image of finch with beautiful colors and great sharpness. Very nice IQ.
    Love the inquisitive pose with nice HA,beautiful artistic perch,smooth BG and very nice composition.

    Hi Jon, Excellent sharp detail on the greenfinch, and what a perfect pose you managed to capture. I do like the light too, and your BG has turned out really well. I wish the lower parts of the foliage perch were not leaving the frame.

    Thanks very much everyone for the comments much appreciated. I planted the pine tree in front of the hide in the long term hope I may get images of goldcrests which are a good bit smaller than the greenfinch. For these larger finches I think I may end up using the 100-400 zoom to improve on the composition with the foliage.
