Cool bird, sharp, good exposure. Best to try to get the birds on a nice perch away from the pond and move the pond so that the background is farther away. Needs lots more d-o-f for the tail as is normal for over-the-shoulder images. BTW, Head Angle is perfect.

Have to agree about the perch....but stunning light and color and the over the shoulder stare is great. The light may of been poor but it doesn't show it as the plumage looks very nicely lit. A deeper dof would of been nicer to get the tail in focus as well or wait until the bird was more side on.
