    This Gila Woodpecker went into his hole in the Saguaro and emerged with this egg and proceeded to discard it. I assume that somehow it knew that the egg was infertile.

    Superb behavior image, Ian. Full of interest. Even the shadow beneath the bird is dramatic. Wish I could see the eye just a bit better, but not a deal breaker by any means. Kind of one of those images that will stick in my head for a while.

    Very nice moment captured here Ian, the shadow adds interest, the head & eye could have been a bit more sharper....

    The fact that you captured this behavior is simply amazing!!! The colors and comp work great and love the cactus as a back drop. I might sharpen the head a little more.
