    Took me a few minutes to locate this bird as it was singing in the short grass in June off 2009

    Hi Tim, nicely placed in the ROT's, and I suppose you can call this small in the frame. Did you manage a take off shot.

    Tim,

    It took me a second too! I think the harsh light takes a bit away from the images, as the contrast makes it a bit harder to find the subject. Maybe a crop from the bottom to remove the the brighter, more oof fg?

    I like what you were trying to do here and I think it would have worked if that blade of grass wasn't cutting through the beak ( making the bird even smaller in the frame) and the light had been softer.
