Cool leaning pose of this beautiful Blue Jay. Razor sharp head and I like the details around the beak and chin. Due to the pose the DOF falls off fast but I dont mind it at all. The first time I see the need for a bit of NR on the BG of your shots. Well done.

I always like shots with a bird with an inquisitive pose such as this, yes the dof is a little shallow but it serves to emphasize the sticky beak look on this bird. The head region is certainly sharp and nicely exposed, foliage adds a lot as well. I guess these birds are common over your way, if so...darn lucky to have them

Great pose, agree on the NR. IQ on the bird is fantastic.

I like the curious pose here...did you have shelled peanuts for it? The fresh foliage looks great and the dark BG makes the subject and leaves pop nicely.

I like how the face is nice and sharp loosing clarity as you lose dof. It makes the face stand out more to me. I would suggesta little more room on the right if you have any.

Lovely pose, and the bird really pops off the darker BG and new leaves. DOF works really well here.

Nicely focused head and lovely colours, the pose is fantastic and inclusion of the foliage does add a lot to the image,
a round of NR to the BG will pop it out more

Thanks everybody. Daniel- I had a mixture of corn, peanuts, sunflower seeds, etc. Cheryl- I cropped a little from the top and left, no room on the right. Phil- We have an abundance of these birds here, they are big and rule the feed until the red headed woodpecker shows up. Nobody messes with him! Thanks again.

I don't see noise, in fact I would have raised the iso for more DOF to get the tail sharp.
Nice unique pose, Jack, the leaves are very nice.

Excellent image in beautiful set-up. I like the pose.beautiful colors, perch with fresh green leaves and composition.
If mine I would take silver line of the top.
