Hey David,
I have been a "fan" of yours for sometime now, and this is one wonderful capture. The clarity and detail here is amazing and the smallest blur at the wingtips sets this in motion. what a delight tis is...

I love the incoming pose and those big eyes! looks super
there are some sharpening halos (below the body and around the wings) and overall a bit over sharpened. There is evidence of cloning in the BG below the wings... it will look even better when you fix these issues.
great dynamic capture

Hi David, fantastic head on capture here, love those eyes, and the owl pops so well from the BG. I do like the wing position, and the complimentary colour to the BG. If this were mine, I would have placed him centrally in the frame.
When photographing at my local nature reserve, my car serves as a perfect hide/blind, so I can relate to your position in this.

Definitely an attention grabber! What a dynamic capture. Catching birds straight-on is always very challenging. Arash has some good points. Great job!

That's awesome man. Very nice details on the face! Arash has pointed some easy fixes for you...worth the extra TLC as this is quite a fun image.

Awesome image, David. Getting burrowing owls in flight is not easy, and getting an owl coming at you is extra hard! Agree that it looks just a touch oversharpened.

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. Appreciated.
I normally get comments about adding a little sharpening, first one about too much, so I now know were my limits are. Thanks.

Wonderful image David, i love the one flying in image of the Owl
The eyes are wonderful and the wing position is fantastic
I do notice some small clone stamping which is noticeable below the bird, can be fixed easily , however this can only be my eyes looking odd at this time of the night

Another!, great BIF, David.
You just keep them coming, one after another.
Other than halo mentioned, about perfect.
