    Found this WTH perching on a tree alongside the road to Aransas NWR last month. The tree was quite a way in the field, so even with the 2X, it requires a large crop to ~ 4M pixels. I later followed the bird to a different perch and got a full frame image of the hawk here

    This image shows the top side with the hawk turning his head back, so the colors are great. Unfortunately, I blew the white here, thus didn't post before.

    Just want to share an image of a beautiful bird. The perch wasn't great, but it is his perch :). There was a shadow on the bird as well.

    Great looking raptor Loi, well done on getting the shot. Even though it's a big crop, the bird looks very sharp.

    I like it even with a big crop
    the head turn and the pattern are key here to me,
