    Ian:

Good timing, like the chicks, well exposed, pretty good DOF. Not an easy shot. I assume you were prefocused on the nest hole?

I could see a minor crop from the right, leaving plenty to identify the plant, just not quite so dominant in the frame.

    Well done

    Cheers

I love the timing on this one, the colors have come out very nicely

I like the composition however hoped for some different head position of the bird flying in a bit head up

    Still very nice as presented

I also think some off the right would be nice.
    The chicks look great.
Very nice to get this photo, good work and nice timing.

Great timing, well executed. I join to those wanting to take off some of the right.

Wow, not the sort of place I'd expect to find nesting Sparrows, great timing and super sharp, although wishing the parent birds head was more upturned it is nicely caught in the light, gotta love the pleading chicks . Blue sky backdrop adds a lot with the green of the cactus

Thanks, everyone. Yes, I prefocused when I saw the adult coming back again and again.

    Something like this?

House Sparrow in a cactus. They can really adapt. You did a great job on the image.

    Ian,

I like the repost better than the original (which was great as well). Would be interesting to see a vertical shot of this, if you have the room on top and bottom.
