Hi Brendon - while the techs and IQ look good this isn't quite working for me. I think if it had been wider with the inclusion of the kill or at least part of it then it would work better. Also a minor distraction is the branch coming in at the shoulder.

To my eyes, this is a pretty powerful image. Good use of the spotlight effect. I hadn't noticed the branch until Rachel mentioned it. You could probably burn the right side of the branch in question and it would barely be noticeable.

The light on this is what makes it for me. Also the upwards glance and contrasting colors of the blue and neutrals. I didn't see the branch either until mentioned but Marina made a good suggestion

Hi Brendon, one cool shot and the spotlight in this instance worked extremely well. Nice to have the versatility of a zoom lens 200-400 here.

I like it. The use of the light has created a cool vignette effect.
I might prefer a little less light falloff at the leopard's feet, but hard to control that...

I have seen and admired many of your leopard images and I also have one of your big prints on my wall. This one's a stunner, Brendon-the light, the sky behind the subject, the stare...I only noticed the branch after I read the comments above (thus I conclude it didn't bother me one bit).

    Kind regards

    Gabriela
