Canon 40D, 100-400L today, Pattern Metering.
1/3200, f/6.3, ISO 400. I had some halos around face and feet and got the feet messed up too light. Wanted to see if it is worth working it out?
Is it normal for the Sharpening in CS3 to be set to 25% when working on a raw image?

I like the overall idea.....with just the hint of buildings. The top of the bird looks nice but I'd have preferred the light to have come from a different angle to light up the head/eye. In the sharpening.....are you talking about 25% in ACR when converting it? I use DPP.....and like it.....so I'm not sure what you should use....if any in the RAW converter. I certainly wouldn't ditch this image.....perhaps start over. I'd convert without any sharpening. Then select just the bird for sharpening.....that would avoid the halos. If you can convert a tiff.....NO adjustments or sharpening and email it to me I'll play with it. It'll be tomorrow for I get to it as I have a faculty meeting, golf banquet and then all night after prom event to chaperone but when I get in at 5am I'll take a look. Or better yet....see if you can email me the RAW image and I'll start from scratch.

Bill, the buildings are just right as to the oof. But the antenna is up the birds wazoo. And i find the shadowed neck to be a bit on the dark side. Perhaps Lana can get more of it using the RAW. Please re-post if she does. Definitely worth a try.
