    Default Marbled godwit portrait

    Attached Images Attached Images

Another from the gang of marbled godwits that were at Ft Desoto when I was there mid-April.

I got rid of many dust spots, lightened the eye a bit, and added a bit of canvas on the left. The bill on this individual was so clean.

Beautiful image, Grace. You’re right—what a clean bill! Super details and nice even lighting. We have them now out here—I am giving it a shot tomorrow out on the Pacific.

Sweet shot Grace, do you have more room on the top and left side?

Extraordinary fine detail Grace, I've never seen the serrations withing the beak/mouth before...very well done. Eye is clear and all composed nicely in the frame I think

So cool to see those serrations! Now that is up close and personal! Just a super head portrait. You do so well with that 2x, your IQ is always top notch.

What a great head study. The open beak adds allot and the details are awesome. You had some great light that morning and you must have been pretty close to these guys. Ya, that sure is a clean beak. Very nice Grace.

Terrific details, Grace, and I love that open beak. Wasn't sure about the crop at first, but I think it really works well here.
