Just got back from a vacation on Sanibel Island, FL. There was a small pond at our condo where I found this dragonfly. A lifer for me.

Hi Allen. Sanibel is a great place - I've been there numerous times. I'll have to keep my eyes open for these guys next time! You captured an excellent pose and the colors on this little guy are striking! It looks like you got the whole body within the plane of focus - I'm wondering if you could apply just a little more sharpening. I might also suggest toning down the bright areas in the LRC and perhaps blending the darker "blob" in that same area - this area is just different enough from the rest of the background to draw my eye. Just a couple minor tweaks to a very nice image!

Beautiful colours and composition. Focus looks good as does DOF but the image seems to be just a little soft to me, maybe a tad more sharpening or possibly there was a small amount of camera movement??
