    A gull we don't have on the west coast which I thought was nice.
    Taken at Tyree Island, Georgia, windy day surf in the BG.

    1/5000, f6.3, 340mm (70-200 w/1.7 tc), iso 400, D7000, HH

    I like the wing position, HA, exposure, setting and composition. I tried a version using selective color and added a couple of points in the neutrals and blacks. It made the head look less washed out. Well done Dan.

    Nice image , the bg sets it up nicely to my eye
    the open wing position is what i like, i do think the suggestion by Jim works well for me, here is what i tried quick

    not sure why it posted the same image twice -- they are the same. When I go back to edit, only one image is there in edit area!

    And the repost looks a little too much Nic TC to me....

    Vishal & Don, thanks for taking the time to work on the image.
    I did lighten the head, a bit too much, as they are very black and I wanted some detail.
    Gulls are common, obviously, but I liked this gull a lot, since I had never seen one.

    A very nice "ocean" feel to the image due to that neat crashing wave in the BG. Good wings up pose. I could see a bit more room above (and then at the sides to retain the ratio) but still nice as is.
