    I could have increased the ISO to 800 or 1600 but was afraid I'd lose detail.

    Sanjeev,

    The owls are great,..still a few hot pixels maybe bump the ISO to 500 and grab a faster shutter! The right side of the frame is too busy and distracts the eye. Use my paper drill and find the best crop,..the one that focuses on the subject with minimal distractions,..balance the frame!!!

    The other opportunity is the OOF branch intersecting the subject,..smooth it out with clone tool!

    This is really good work but well exposed pictures with muted backgrounds are stronger. Walk around the frame and ensure the subject is maximized!

    Jeff made some good points. However, I can hardly get past the cuteness to see anything else! That said, I think a vertical crop might work well with this. Here's a quick crop, and messy clone job on the stick. Just something to give you another crop idea.
