    Sanjeev,

Excellent sharpness for an image produced at 1/50" (even if on a tripod). I may have bumped that ISO up, but it looks like you managed well.

I think a touch of contrast on the owl would help him 'pop' a bit more. Otherwise I like it!

Lovely portrait and good job keeping it sharp at 1/50sec. Have you tried to photograph with the 7D at ISO 800 to give yourself a little more speed or DOF? If you push your histogram to the right, you should be okay. Agree on trying for a little more contrast or popping another way. I love seeing the owl's talons so well.

That is one fine looking little owl, good suggestions by the others, really sharp for 1/50.

What a fine image! Love the second one visible inside the cavity and I'm glad that we can see the cavity. If your iQ holds up, I personally would crop away most of the negative space on the left, especially since the owl's gaze is to the right (as viewed) .

Agree with bumping the ISO. It appears that you are not shooting in the shaded area. Keep them coming. :)

Magnificent image of owl.I enjoyed your owl series.Wish you have used higher ISO and f stop to get another owl in the nest in focus.

Very neat, the dilated pupils let us know how dim the lighting was. The eyes are tack sharp too. I agree with bumping the ISO, the 7D can handle it easily at 800 and even at 1600 with all those paler tones. Just noticed the sibling hunkered down in the nest...

I like the sharpness, pose, eye contact and other owl in the cavity. Good suggestions above. Very well done under challenging conditions.
