Default Advice needed: parking at Little Estero Lagoon

I'm going to be in Naples, FL this week visiting family and I would like to do some bird photography at Little Estero Lagoon. After doing some Google searches, it appears that parking in the area near the lagoon is difficult. Can anyone give me some information about this? I don't mind paying a parking fee, so if there is a commercial parking lot nearby, I would be happy to use it.

I'll be driving a rental car, so I definitely don't want to get towed!

    Thanks,

    John

I haven't been there in several years, but when I did I parked around on the south side of the Holiday Inn that backs up to the north end of the lagoon area. It's only a couple hundred yards walk to the lagoon. If I recall, I asked at the desk and the staff didn't mind my parking there.

Thanks for that information, Joe. I'll give the Holiday Inn a try.

Most photographers agree, the best place to park is at a small strip mall across the street at the corner of Estero blvd and Lenell road (just past a Wyndham Garden Inn on the coastal side). After parking at the strip mall, walk on the path past the Wyndham to the beach.
