    At my local pond in Pretoria, there are a couple of sweet spots with regards to light and BG's. In this, I managed a shot against a distant foliage BG.

    Canon 1D Mark IV
    100-400 @ 275mm
    1/1250
    F/6.3
    ISO 800

    Exp Comp + 0.33

    Nice capture Stuart. I like the pose and the fact that you have a foliage BG. Nice colors and the bird is exposed well with lots of nice detail. I like the comp too. Well done

    the first thing i liked about the image was the composition , good sharpness and a great shot against that distant foliage

    Very nice detail and the lighting is lovely. Looks like Autmn.

    Awesome BG Stu, and the goose's banking pose is pretty neat too. Quite sharp. I would not mind a bit more details to the far wing's blacks.

    Excellent flight pose you have captured, Stuart Sir.
    Love the way bird pops up against very nice BG,wing position,colors and composition.

    Great pose, nice sharpness, and a colorful BG. I would try to pull out a little more detail in the blacks.
