    Default Common linnet

Went out early this morning, posting in the field nearby a common linnnet nest.

Nice image, the inclusion of the habitat makes it more interesting, the twig in the beak adds a point of interest in the image. lovely one
if you can selectively brighten the bird a tone it may take the image over the top, i love the BG

Liking very much the behavior with nesting material in the mouth, nice head turn as well, foloage and backdrop all work in nicely...wondering if maybe this could be cropped a little tighter though to bring more detail to the bird and maybe at the same time eliminate the darker patch behind the plant on the left

    Thijs:

Lovely environmental image with good comments from the guys. Really strong sense of early morning, slightly cool palette works well.

Yes, I could also see a version cropped a bit tighter to show off the bird better without losing the strong environmental feel.

Even a simple crop from the top only would give it a bit more impact.

Lots of good options with this one.

    Cheers

Very nice. Love the BG and environment. Agree a crop could make this a little more impactful.

I love the frosty conditions you have here, but having said this I try to lessen the bluish cast you have on the subject and grasses due to those being shaded against warm and sunlit BG. I like the comp as is though.
