From my recent trip to Ft Desoto. I thoroughly enjoyed that location.

That's about as great a separation of subject from FG/BG ever. Perfect focus, and great use of OOF on either side. Perfect!

Wow looks super with the perfect BG and the bird nicely placed, the details are nice and the action of it pulling the worm adds a lot to the beautiful image.

Loving that long....long worm, light and focus is excellent as is the framing, texture/sheen on the water is rather nice as well...the backdrop makes it all very perfect imo

    Grace:

Lovely as mentioned by everyone. Nice light, like the slightly ruffled feathers, worm of course, soft bg and nice colors.

    Well done.

    Cheers

Great job on this one Grace. The bird is lit very well and the exposure is perfect, giving you great feather detail. Love the transition between the BG and FG, almost seamless. The worm is a bonus. Well done.

Thanks everyone. Marbled godwits are rather infrequent visitors to Long Island where I live, so to have about twenty of them at Ft DeSoto, and cooperative no less, was a treat indeed.

Excellent image Grace! I like the light, pose, IQ, calm water, exposure, sweet BG and composition.
